I'm getting a MP40 (for 75g reef) and MP20 (for my RSM nano) this coming week and really can't wait. They are truly sweet and I saw a video where someone had the MP40 in a bowfront tank and the wave was unbelievable. All corals were really getting a good sway.

MP20 was my original plan and our local reefers convinced me to go with MP40 and maybe even add Koralia #4 with it.

im getting the MP20 for 2 reasons:
1. it produces cufficient flow (up to 2000 gph)
2. the MP40 costs too much!

I was recommended to go with MP40 for a 75g tank. The difference in price is not that much, but will pay it back in time with wireless capabilities etc that the MP20 doesn't have out-the-box.

This is a good explanation
The VorTech MP40W Pro Wave Motion model features the Wireless Wave Driver. This intelligent controller allows wireless operation of multiple, programmable wave modes (constant, lagoon random, reef crest random, short pulse, long pulse, and feed mode) to create custom wave motion in your aquarium. The Wireless Wave Driver also allows the serious reef enthusiast to control up to 10 VorTech pumps for the ultimate wave motion system. 1,000 and 3,000 gph. For aquariums between 40 and 500 gallons
NEW VorTech MP20 features 4 basic operational modes (constant, lagoon random, reef crest random, and feed mode) and is for aquariums between 20 and 70 gallons. 500 and 2,000 gph. The MP20 can be upgraded to the MP40W with Wireless Wave Driver Upgrade.

yea I am ordering a MP20 nextweek for my 30breeder..cant wait to make waves :)
ohh and the Mp20 has all the features of the MP40 modes..reefcrest, feeding, night, constant, short pulse and long pulse..dont know why alot of places dont say that...the only thing the MP40 has over the MP20 is the wireless and it goes from 500-3000gph and the MP20 is 500-2000gph
all the Mp20 features are here

the pump is awesome, but the only thing i noticed was that the flow doesnt reach the other side all the way. but, i had to rush out the door right after i set it up, so i didnt get to try out all the features. so, maybe after letting it run for a few days it will reach the other side
