eel and snails

i have a snowflake eel that i probably feed way to much and he is atleast 6 inches and about an inch and a half to two inchs wide and he ate all 12 of my mexican turbo snails but at the time that e ate them i wasnt feeding him but 1-2 silversides a day and now where up to three every day or so and i want to put mmore mexican turbos in do you think that he will eat all of those ones to or was it just that i wasnt feeding him enough when he did it last time?

Wow, I though my eel was getting fat he is 12in long and a 1/2 in wide. Eels-if I recall from a book-don't over eat. Arer you sure the snails didn't die and he "helped" cleanup?

Depends on the species. My dragon eats till he pukes if I let him- a snowflake would be much more reserved. I say feed him until he stops showing interest. Remember, snowflakes, zebras, chainlinks, etc are all crustacean feeders. Just about anything that goes in there will be lunch sooner or later.

no i know that he was eating them while he was a;ive cause i watched him pull on off the rocks and rip it aaound till it came out of the shell

my SFE has eaten 2 of my turbo snails I was hoping I could get other inverts but I have a volitan too...
btw I only feed mine one cube of either Mysis shrimp (frozen) or marine canavoir cuise a day
I tend to under feed.. this way they dont grwo to rapidly and they always have a hunger then
