We purchased a small engineer goby yesterday for our 55g.
He seems to be enjoying himself thus far.

How are engineer gobies' temperments? They are reef-safe correct? How about with crustaceans (sp?) and smaller fish?

What I have read says they're docile. They will eat crustes I believe.
The one we have had for about 48 hrs has dug a hole in the sand under the rocks, and will occasionally stick his head out.
The one time he came out for a swim, the clowns and tang ran away!

I know this thread is old but i hate when people give advice that ain't right...
Golden Dwarf Moray's are perfectly fine in a 29g tank...When you see one in person you will see how small they are...and most don't even get 12inches just around 10inches...Their heads only get to the size of a dime and body as thick as a pencil...Just make sure to have a skimmer on the tank for the bioload and your fine...a tunze 9002 skimmer would be perfect...
