how big is the tank?? you say its a biocube? it will if not already out grew your tank.
you have to seel off your tank completley when you have an eel it will jump out. especially if its in a tank to small for it

i am not supportin you keeping an eel in a nano tank, but to help it stay alive i offer my answer:
o to your LFS and find some filter sponge. Its about 3x3x12. then cut the sponge so it is 1-2 inches tall and covers the filter system. basically, a sponge lid over the filter. when you close it, the plastic splash cover on the lihts will push down on the sponger, sealing off the filter system. i had to do this because my goby kept jumping.

I see absoulety nothing wrong with what you're doing!
This guy only has a 24 and succesful keeps eel. Had a blue one before this one. Read a lot of info on thread and he very knowelgdable (LOL)... So if your serious about it and not just wanting to see it die, u shold be able to get away with it!
