I have a 55 with ALOT of rockwork in it. I wanted to put a green wolf a snowflake and a small green moray that the lfs sells for 30. I didnt want to get eels but this lfs sucks and i feel bad for them. Is this tank big enough. In about 6 months i will be upgrading to a 220 for a banded cat shark but for now is this ok?

A green moray should not go in a 55. A 220 would even be pushing it. They get very large.

i think it might be ok for maybe 1 or 2 eels for a short period of time but not very long. it also depends on how long the eels are right now. if they are small juvis then 3 might be ok.

This is bad advice... you could do the wolf and the sfe but a green moray should never be in a 55. Might as well just put a shark in there.

I was under the impression that most eels dont need alot of room as long as alot of rockwork is present. I didnt think the moray would get very large because he is already about 18 long and not even a half inch thick. The snowflake is very small maybe 10 inches max. The green wolf is about 14 inches.

which one is way too big? I was only going to get the wolf and the snowflake. The moray has some flesh wounds on his side anyway so that i was just curious about.

The green wolf and sfe should be ok. Just looked up the stats on a green moray... up to 2.5 meters long and over 60 pounds max!!!!!!

There is no way thats what this is than. It looks just like the snowflake. He is long but very very very thin. I will see if i can find a picture.

lol I just looked up green moray on ask.com and thats deffinately not the eel i saw. The eel i saw resembled a ribbon eel with the face of a snowflake. He was DARK green in color and had a lighter underside with almost speckles along his stomache.

If you don't know what it is, you probably shouldn't buy it.

I've seen green morays with significant variations in color. If it's listed as a green moray at the LFS I'd stay away from it.
Did you already buy these eels?

I bought the green wolf and I was going to buy the sfe today. I didnt really want the green moray because he wasnt eating and hes got a huge swell on his side I was just curious because if I could keep him in the tank i wanted to give him a chance because he deffinately wont make it in the lfs.
