Depends on the lighting.
But if you feel you need to acclimate them, then go to Home Depot, but enough screen to put three layers on the top of the tank, and each week remove one layer. HTH

Don't think that will make much of a difference. If you want to acclimate them though, raise the fixture a few inches and then lower it an inch every other day until it is at desired height.
