btw, the eggcrate isnt technically a diffuser, at least not the chrome finish. it is designed to reduce the scope of the light by cutting off the light that goes off to the sides, only allowing it to shine downward. in buildings it makes the lighting less obtrusive since you have to look straight up to see it, instead of being able to see all the lights in the room. i am curious about how effective it is at reflecting the stray light back downward... :thinking:

Well I am going to fit some to my 75 tomorrow. I have cleaner gobie that has done a disappearing act and my suspicion is he is somewhere on the floor behind the tank. The tank has a center brace so I will have to cut to fit two pieces. Should be pretty simple to tell if it is casting any kind of shadow simply comparing one side egg crated and the other open.
On the other hand considering how tiny the gobie was he could have just as easily made it through the egg crate with a strategically placed jump.
