Eibli's Angel

I just got Eibli's Angel and he so far has been doing pretty well, was picked on by my clown fish, so I pulled the clown out into my quarantine/hospital tank to give the Angel some time to establish his territory. Since the clown has been removed the angel has been swimming the tank more and occasionally picking on my short tent plate coral and my Agropora. Can he hurt them? He has completely ignored my clam and my softies.
I heard that macroalgae can help distract angels from nipping, is that true?

Thanks

Also, will I have any issues with removing the dominate Clown and leaving the other one in the tank?

You have taken a chance getting an angel fish in a tank with coral. Some will nip at SPS or LPS or Softies or any combination thereof. Seems like more often than not most posts I have read do show that the odds are not in your favor and that an angel will nip. Now that said there are others that have them that have not seen this behavior. There are also some that see the angel nip here or there and are not concerned with the amount of nipping they see. I happen to be in that class right now with my African Flameback. I have seen it nip at a Porites coral a number of times, but have not seen it do so to anything else. I do keep an algae sheet in the clip in the tank most of the time and it does feed on that often. I am trying to keep it well fed to try to keep it away from coral and so far this is working for me.
With angels and coral, you pays your money and you takes your chances.
