I very, very seldom use buffers and have not used this one. (Given that, I should just shut-up.) However, its made by Sea-Chem and i really like everything they make; they have outstanding tech support too.

I use the entire line. Im not one to keep a log but I can tell you my numbers are usually close.

my ph is usually at 8.2. 8.0 should i still use this product to raise it to 8.4?

I don’t know about other brands. When I use a buffer I use REEF BUFFER made by Seachem. It will raise both PH and carbonate alkalinity. I like it because it will raise PH to 8.3 without accidental overdosing

Most of all my products are made by Seachem. I don't use buffers but I do use their alkalinity and calcium powders.
