It has been almost 48 hours sense it arrived (from this site) and my elegance coral hasn't opened. It is not located near any soft corals or hard coral and has carbon to filter out any chemicals produced by the soft corals. My peremiters are good I have several acropora and LPS that are thriving (therefore i say my peremiters are good to mantain this coral). The elegance is in my sand bed and recieves low water flow and fairly bright light. SOme gel like white stuff came of of the coral when it first arrived don't know what it is.... I emailed saltwater.com telling them of this and haven't recieved back. (its the weekend so thats probaly why). I also aclimated it to this sites standar.
What should i do?
Is it going to die?
I don't think it is dead but i am not sure
Any help is helpful

This site is pretty good about the things they sell. The stuff I have purchased has done well. I lost a fire red shrimp, but that was because my Sally Light Foot ate it. As for corals I have done ok and others on this site have done well. Wait 'till monday and see what happens. Some things take longer than others. As for the slime some corals look for food that way and they also well do there natural duties that way.

Also, I don't think the slime is anything to worry about if it was just a little. Sometimes corals will give of some slime just from being handled...I'm sure all will be ok. It took a brain I ordered offline about 4 days to fully open and its been doing great for 4 months now.:D
