Did I ever say I was frightened? Here is the thing, when the pistons won the championship, no one expected that aftermath. Am I afraid because the candidate is getting similar size crowds? No. But I can see the potential for celebrations/protests to get out of hand when there is such a huge following....historically it has happened.
After one election, this country had to presidents face off in duel. After another we had the civil war occur is the after effect. To say a reaction might occur after this election is NOT a stretch. Hell at the moment I do not even own a gun....My father in law does and he is voting Obama, he is also having them locked and loaded just in case.....It isn't just the white man thinking this, He is Puerto Rican.

Please reread what I posted... I was pointing out there wouldn't be a Civil War because one side has the guns...

Surely you have read information on obedience studies in Psychology and can at least recognize there are some potential issues. I am not even remotely indicating this is a current problem in our military, but there is always a risk that obedience can override ones own beliefs of right and wrong.

People incite riots by talking about them , they also incite riots by sparking a racial issue where one does not exist. I live in the Chicago area and will avoid grant park like the plague! Because win or loose there will be trouble. Again I say this not because of race , but because of people "talking" about it and getting EVERYONE excited.

Then you and I agree; it is not a problem in our military and therefore the "follow blindly" comment was inappropriate.

People are just sick of having elections stolen... All signs show Obama is going to be the victor... people believe the gov't will put in whomever they want... and that if McCain wins it will be because of fraud... especially when people are reporting voting machines have been changing votes to the GOP..

If McCain wins it will because of your new Republican scandal and if NOBAMA wins it will be because of ACORN, No question about that!. How are people going back and knowing voting machines are changing their votes after they cast them Isnt that info hidden? ACORN is a fact filled proven scandal! I would put a rather large bet down that, of all the gun-toating tough guys on this thread, 99% of you would stain your sheets if a threatening moment ever presented itself to you.

BTW, the Detroit did not riot when the Pistons won the championship.
(Actually it was in '84 when the Tigers won the World Series).

Seems like it was the same in 2000 and 2004. Gore and Kerry had it in the bag. Gore was close, but Kerry got blown out.

No not really... there is a big difference b/w voter registration fraud, and voter fraud... and as far as the machines go, there are already documented incidents in various states where voters using electronic machines votes were changed...

So bad registrations don't matter unless you can prove fictious people have voted.. such as Mickey Mouse, Bigfoot, etc.
