electra green carpet anemone

Hello everyone,
I just recently bought my first anemone which is a electra green carpet anemone. I realize these are more difficult then some others to care for. After Acclimating it to my tank for about an hour, I released it into the tank in a clear spot on the sand bed. The anemone opened and stayed there for about 2 hours before the lights turned off. (cp 10K and cp antics) As soon as the lights went off it closed up tight and was on the move. It moved inside the only artificial thing I have in the tank. A boat.
Its been two days now and it won't come out. The rest of the tank 180 gallon tank is 150lbs of LR and 4 inch LS bed. Plenty of room for everyone. I thought maybe it needed to adjust to the lighting. Any ideas?

help me. What are CPK and CP antintics? Do you mean PC? if so I am not sure that that is enough light for a carpet. I was under the impression that they need high intesity light such as MH or T-5.

Either way I would suggest you return the anemone. Carpets are one of the most light-demanding anemones and the lighting you've got will not sustain it long term.

I just was reading another post about Carpets NEEDING tons of light, again each of us have different opinions but I just dont agree, flow on the otherhand seems to be thier vice. I blast mine directly with a maxi 1200 and he loves it. If i want to move him, i just move the maxi to point where i want him to be and then he winds up right in front of it again.
