Electric Blue Hermits, Experts?

I had two to originally start, one perished, and I went back to the same LFS I originally bought them from. Well as we all know these are a little rare, you dont happen upon them to often, and for $6 a pop this LFS is the cheapest I have ever seen them (LFS and Net). Well I bought three more, and the one I had from a previous purchase is double the size as the ones I bought today.
Now my question, the original has sought out all of the new inhabitants, and is engaging them in either dominance (fighting) or well you know the other. He is trying to enter their shells and it doesn't look pretty. Should I put the original in the QT for a few days, so he isn't as aggresive and forgets about his reign in the DT? TIA

Yo have tons of free shells around, no? of all sizes? Of course hermies would rather find emoty shells than have to fight for one.

I have a ton of empty shells that I purchased. I dont think it is trying to fight over a shell, I think he is saying "this is my tank and you will remember that". However I don't want him to start killing because it is threatened.

don't forget, electric blues are not reef safe, can get large, and are a danger to your fish. you're better off with true blue legs

Everything I have read has said that they are reef safe..hmmmm I don't have a reef tank as of yet, but eventually I will get there. The one I have had in there is about an inch, he/she doesn't even come close to messing with the fish.

The most "docile" are the red legs.

I have 4 Electric Blues, 10 Scarlets, and about 8 dwarf blue legs. The dwarf blues seem to be the most aggressive. I have never had a problem with any of them fighting or taking out snails. Except for now with the electric blue not appreciating the addition of three more of its own kind.
