I hope I just did not kill my scallop, as he moved himself out of the light and I wanted to move him back. :nope:
well he seemed a bit stuck so I forced him and I noticed he left something behind, And I realize that I broke off his tongue thing that shoots out and sticks to stuff.
Can anyone tell me if I just killed my little friend?:nope:
amd if it is only a matter of time, should I take him out of the tank?

he should make a new one, but they'll go where they want, they're also filter feeders, pretty much a waste of money, the one i had i never sa until i saw his shell cleaned out

They should not be forced anywhere...they move on their own to places they like. Unfortunately, it is extremely rare for them to survive even a year in captivity.

I agree, mine lived about 4 months. Most sites say "hardy" for care, not true! Some people do have luck, but I would say it is not the norm.
