They are beautiful, and i would love to have one in my tank, esspecialy one of the electric ones, to see at night. They are also inexpensive, and although i am up to the challenge of feeding them, knowing that they do not ingest most of the food that they capture did deter me. Also i do not have a deep sand bed so that would be another complication without natural larva to help out. Although i would love to have one in my tank, i would not be able to starve creature even if i didnt know i was doing it. That was the part that i was most concerned with. So i decided that i will not get one at the moment.
thank you very very much everyone for your time and experience
I know this post is a little old but if you still check on it just to let you know that mine didnt light up at night, only when the light was on. It was cool in the light but it did die. I put oyster eggs, among all other kinds of filter feeder foods but still no luck.
