socal57che idea makes the most sense...you could have one trip and one still going. And because they are wall outlets, you don't have to worry about plugs laying on the floor and ending up in a puddle of water. If you use the cords you have in the pic, they could mess with you having drip loops and such.
If you do rewire the outlets with GFCI breakers, read the instructions that come with them so you do not protect the entire circuit, just what is plugged into that outlet.
