I have 4 emerald crabs and 1 sally lightfoot crab in my tank (also plenty of hermit crabs). Thinking about getting a bubble tip anemone. Will the crabs harm/eat/nibble (on) the anemone?!? Thanks for the help in advance.

I own a 55 gal with a rose bubble tip which had divided shortly after I brought it home. A yellow stripe tomato clown occupies both of them. Two Emerald crabs also live in the tank and aside from knocking things off here and there they've been ok. Until yesterday when I watch one of them reach into the anemone and snap off a tip and eat it. There are plenty of things to eat, he should not be hungry, but I have since seen him do this again and I wonder if this is going to be a problem. Any suggestions?

Happens every now and again, my suggest is to get him out and place in sump, until you can find somewhere else for him. Not worth it IMO.

I had to get rid of my Emerald crab beacause he was eating the tips of my bubble-tip anamone and raising hell everywhere else. He knocked off my clam and ate him, chewing at the base of my other corals. I am sure that most of time they don't bother anyone, but there is the rare troublemaker. Lots less chaos in there now.
