My Emerald Crab has molted twice since I got him like 5 weeks ago. He is HUGE. Will he still be ok in my 24 gal or should I get him out the next time he molts and put him in my hubbys tank. He looks really big and out of place. The bigger he gets will he get braver and start attacking my fish?

I always trade them in for a smaller one.. I only think they're safe when the size of a dime lol..
I had one that was about 2inches on the carapace (not including the legs!) that liked to pick at my torch and hammer skeletons and feasted on coralline lol..
I've heard of deaths related to emerald crabs, their strawberry crab cousin is more prone to murdering fish though.

my last one molted alot, he stayed really well fed hahaha. he went back to the LFS though and got tossed in their emerald crab tank and ate alot of his buddies... they weren't very thrilled about that.

In a 20long... I had a bicolor it was the last fish added..
Had a 2 clowns at the time, a sixline, 2 neon gobies.
So the bicolor was fine for like a week.. then started fighting with the sixline.. then one day the sixline jumped from a 1/2inch opening at the back of the top on the tank... then I was like wth... ok so sixlines just jump aside from the fact that the sixline was doing fine for 2 months even when I ran the top off periodically.. so then I noticed a week after that.. the bicolor was chasing the clowns across the tank... and attacking the crap out of them..
one day I find one of the clowns on the ground..
I won't ever keep another one of those punks again..
Then the bicolor got bagged.. brought to the LFS for a rainfords goby.
The bicolor got tossed in a 29gallon with a flame angel for reeducation.. The flame had been in there 2 months and was 3inches..
2 days later, their flame angel jumped and was covered in bite marks really bad...

I really only use them for bubble algae outbreaks.. there are less destructive animals to handle everything else.
