Emerald crabs

I got a new emerald crab today(the lfs was having a sale and I LOVE these guys). He's a big one, but since he was already missing a pincher I figured he'd get along okay with my 2 existing ones since they were smaller. After putting him in my tank, I've realized he's a good 4x bigger than my other two. Is there any chance that the new one would kill the other two?

Well there is always a "chance" but maybe they will get along

I'm just wondering if he's "too big" and if I should take him back...his body minus legs is probably the size of a quarter, maybe a hare bigger, and the other two are maybe the size of a nickel all the way around.

That's totally up to you.......I have had a large and a small emerald do ok together.....then I had a large emerald get killed by a smaller sally light foot....LOL

what size tank?

I have a 58 gal

I have an emerald crab and a porcelain crab in my 65, they seem to be doing fine, I bought another porcelain tonight for my 5 gallon nano. I never thought of getting another emerald, they sure do hide alot the porcelain is out a lot more.

58G they should be okay.....A&B.....My emeralds could hide all they want...cause they are algae eating machines....LOL....

I have no idea....when I had a hair algae problem once I put in 8......I think I saw 2 last week

well now that I was gone for the night I can't find any of them, even the big monster one...so I'd say they should be just fine!
