Ijust purchased today live phyto plankton, not sure of the name, but its the one in the squirt bottle. Well I went to squirt the bottle in my tank and the thing exploded and 1/2 of the bottle dumped in my tank. Will live phyto pollute the tank or will it get consumed quick enough? All my corals went nuts, but then 10 minutes later my leathers all closed up. Is this normal after a large feeding? My lights are off now so I wont be able to tell what effect it had, but I wanted to come on and look for opinions. I changed 5 gallons out of my tank (75 gallons), as this is all the water I had on hand. Is there anything else that I should do?

don't be surprised if you have a

[hr]
load of algae here in the next couple weeks lol
may take a while to work out but you should be ok
don't go nuts on water changes though
just a lil more frequent normal ones this is my opinion

hopefully the refugium and skimmer will prevent that algea from happening. I was more worried about ammonia. Sharkbait, a 20% water change will cause my corals to get real stressed. I have done it before and now do 5 gallon waters changes 1 or 2 times a week instead. Keepin my fingers crossed.
