After my lights went off my GBTA decided to start wandering in my tank. It ended up getting some of its tenticles stuck inside the rio 800 of my CPR Skimmer. I caught it before it got really sucked into it and turned the skimmer off and moved the GBTA. It looks like it could be hurt pretty badly on one side. Is it going to be ok or will this die. What should i do i dont want an anenome to die inside my tank cause I dont think that will be good for the rest of my livestock. Other than that now my skimmer wont turn back on. I need help fast.

no i dont. It looks like it got a foot hold to where i placed it. The rio has the venturi kit on it so it cant get stuck in the propeller itself but it looked like it got squeezed pretty badly.

yeah. Now i cant get my rio 800 for my skimmer to work.

try taking it apart or something like that and see if something is stuck inside that maybe be the problem im not for sure tho...

sounds almost liek the impeller got bent on the rio, def take it apart.

yeah the rubber piece that is on the rod of the impeller was broken. I had to canabalize a smaller extra rio I have it working now. But as for the anenome everyone thinks it should be fine?

what am i looking for in terms of dying. What are the signs for an anenome that is on its way out

Im running a Excalibur with a rio 800. I just bought it about 5 days ago. Seems to do pretty good. However I think I may need to clean it out already. I was running a Skilter 250, but its about useless as a skimmer. This is on a 10gal by the way. Sorry to threadjack. I bought the Excalibur used.

it seems to be doing ok today for now. Looks a lil bit smaller than usual.

Ok my lights came on and i took some pictures of what it looks like after being caught in the PH.
First here is a couple of pics of what it looked like before so there is something to compare it too.

What does everyone think? How does it look?
