I just cleaned my tank and the filter wont work
I can hear the motor running but there is no water flowing. The pet store is closed so I cant buy a new one untill tomorrow after work. Are my fish doomed?

no.
you can keep your tank 'running' till tomorrow as long as the water is circulating.
Do you have a air pump with an airstone? Drop that bad boy in there, or if you have a spare powerhead you can run to keep water moving and oxygen exchange happening. Stagnant/stale water is bad.
This is what we do in Florida when the hurricanes come.

They should be fine until tomorrow, worst case scenario if you are really worried, hit up a 24hour walmart and grab a little filter to hold you over.
They should be fine. Dont feed either, they can wait till tomorrow.
Thats what I would do anyway.
Good Luck!

thanks for answering so quickly! I fixed it myself. I just poured water over the filter over and over and it started flowing on its own (weird) but I probably would have went to walmart and got a filter untill tomorrow. Thanks again everyone!

It sounds like it got gunked up inside. I used to have that happen on my freshwater tanks. Congrats on the save!

Thats what you will have to do EVERYtime you have a power outage. I have to do the same thing to my QT.
