emperor 400

Emperor 400 is noisy and a bubble machine.
I have taken it apart cleaned, adjusted knobs/speeds and it has never been quiet or bubbleless. I have tried everything. Any info?

Mine makes bubbles too but they dont seem to flow all over the tank. It was bought used and used to make a lite rattling noise.Check the impeller and the intake tube. After cleaning them and putting it back the noise was reduced.

Sounds like your intake tube has a crack in it. Take it out, fill the tube with water and dry the outside off with a paper tower. hold a dry paper towel around it and wait.

How long have you had the filter? You do know that there is a push/pull grey lever that is used for feeding. It should be pulled up for normal use and down when feeding. When it is down it does make some noise and a little bubbleing. When normal it should be extremely quite, if not call customer service and see what they recommend, I've heard that you could exchange it, they send a new 1 first, you switch out the bio wheels and send back the broken one. Hope this helps.
