Emperor Aquatics Skimmer

I have an emporer aquatics skimmer which was given to me. I believe tis is a good skimmer. I do not have the instructions and was wondering if anyone has one. Maybe it works similiar to oter skimmers, A few questions I have.
1. Input woould be the lower pipe on the skimmer and the output the one about an inch above it. Correct?
2. If one is correct, than on the output there is a small tube which come of the top at 90 degrees. What is this for? Water come out of it when I hook up a pump.

I don't have one of those, but I looked at the product guide for it (at the link below) and I think you're right on the money on your #1 question...
As far as the tube on the output, I believe thats what the manufacturer calls their "venturi air injector manifold." Like on the Maxi-Jet powerheads, it's for injecting air in the output.

You should take a peak at their site... I believe you can request a hard copy of the instruction manual as well.
