Emperor Red Snapper

Anyone have one of these guys? Are they mean? I saw a little on in the lfs like 1.5" and think that I might get one in my 90 soon.

They might be the only sw fish that grows faster than a panther grouper. They are very attractive as juvies, but their colors do fade a bit when they get older. You could keep one in a 90 for a year, maybe longer. Bo

Great tasting fish. A little butter, herbs, and throw it on the grill.
As Bo said they will grow very quickly, and will eat anything that they can fit into their mouth. Also the adults do not look as good as the juvinile. I would pass on it.
