is this good for my 46 bow f.ow.l.r, i also have tunze skimmer and 65 lbs, live rock,its the kind with the dual bio wheels,and 4 slots for media,very big filter,i was having issues with water quality with the aqua clear 70,so this must be better??

Yeah you will be fine. I have one on my 75 reef and have had it for 5 years. It started making mechanical noise recently and I emailed the company and they sent me new parts for free.

Any time you run a hob filter on a saltwater aquarium, it usually breaks down faster than if it were on a fresh.. 5 years is amazing imo. I have heard good things about these filters. If I were you, I would get one and turn it into a hob refugium and just run filter floss on one side and cheato, ls, and lr on the other. A quick thought.

I agree, I never have had any problems with any of their products. That is quite amazing too because they make a lot of different products. I got a stand from them today and love it too. The filter is a bit noisy, but not too bad.

Wouldn't you need to find a way to rig a light back there to turn it into a refugium?

For keeping macro, yes.
IMO, the chambers aren't big enough to use as a refugium, plus if you put sand in it, it will get into the impeller and ruin the motor.
