THANKS ALL..... I was afraid I was going to lose him....Still might but at least he's taking in a little food now..........
Soak food in the vitamins then feed the soaked food to the fish. He will digest the vitamins...this will help to rebuild the immune system and overall health. I also strongly suggest using Zoe since this is an angel.

did you try frozen mysis shrimp? also I think you meant salinity 1.025....were you able to check alkalinity because there could be ph swings effecting him if salinity is off.

Wanted to give one last report and again say thanks to all for you help....
He has regained almost all of his color and is eating a little. At least his eating. I got some live brine and some selcon. He is still hiding but I see him come out and grab some shrimp. Hopefully everything from here is downhill. I know I've been stressed just watching him be stressed. UNLEASHED.......I want to say a special TY for all of your input. This board has helped me learn a lot. I have had this tank for going on 6 years and have probably learned more just in this thread than I have since I set up my tank......
THANKS AGAIN ALL.......... :joy:

HogCr8...so glad to hear things are improving. Everyone can relate to that kind of stress because we have all been in the same spot at one time or another. Personally I would have to say that the current success of my tank is due to all the help I have gotten from people on this board!

Forget about the live brine..unless you are hatching the brine yourself and feeding them within hours from hatching. They have no nutritional value outside 8 hours from hatching

your most welcome.i hope he keeps improving,as i stated before keep trying with the angel formula. also try the small pellets i recomended(thera+A) they will sink to the bottom he may eat them when he doesnt see you watching.thats how i got my new coral beauty to eat them as scooba staes above about the brine:

as noted on the selcon bottle the brine must be soaked for 12 hrs prior to feeding

The main reason I am using live brine is because I figured at least if he didn't eat them they wouldn't funk up the tank. I soak them over night in Selon and am putting in small amount of Angel formula. I am going to get some of the pellets tomorrow and he is taking small amounts of flakes. He looks better than he did yesterday and that was pretty good. Figured I'd leave him in the QT for at least another week even if he seems to be 100%.

once you have him all settled and free of ich and eating good give him another 2 weeks minimum just to be on the safe side .normal quarentine time for a new fish is 21 days with no signs of paresitesor illness once that 21 days has passed once then he should be good to go in the main tank.

Be careful about using live brine....long ago, before I knew anything at all, it sounds like I should have been 7, but I was actually even an adult, the lfs fish geek told me to feed my fish brine shrimp...I didn't know there was a fridge in the lfs with frozen fish food. All I saw was a jar of brine shrimp eggs and a hatchery box, so I bought them and hatched brine shrimp to feed the fish....well pretty soon, after a couple of months, my 55 gallon tank became a brine shrimpery!!! Yeah, I did some pretty dumb stuff when I started out in this hobby!!!

I hate to say it but that is pretty funny. Believe it or not after all of this he has started to change a little. He is starting to turn white at the top. I am taking himoff of the brine and will start using Mysis starting tonight. I am also feeding him a little bit of flake and a little angel formula so he gets the diet he needs. Unleashed. I will take your advice and leave him in the QT for another two weeks. He has lost all of the ICK and is looking so much better........

Well all, Bad news. He was looking GREAT, eating like a banshie I was doing 10% daily water changes and all of a sudden Easter morning he was gone. I guess I just don't have it in me to take care of Larger Angels. I have had a Flame and a Coral Beauty for almost a year now with no problems. I probably won't try again they are just too expensive to keep losing them. Thanks again for everyones's help. He is now in Fishy Heaven......
Take care all
Cory

That's too bad. I lost a juv Emperor a week ago that really disappointed me. Luckily SWF.com is replacing it so I am going to have another go, as my issue was disease.

how did you get them to replace it????? Did it not look good when you got the fish. My problem is they are sooooo cool I just don't know if I can walk into a lfs and walk out if they hove one in stock.......

SWF.com has a 15 day guarantee, the fish died after 16 days. It wasn't too much of a stretch, and I proved that the disease he died from a disease that he had when I got him. I also emailed them before the guarantee was up and let them know that he was dying, but that I would try to save them if I could.
You'll never get a replacement from an LFS... that's the only guaranteed thing in that equation.

I think after reading Emporer11's thread I am going to wait a while until I try again with a big angel... The thing is they are just so cool to look at.....If they last.....
Thanks E11
