Engineer goby ????????

Hey my LFS gave me an Engineer Goby and i know very little about them. Any help (food what they like for conditions Ect) he in a QT for 3 weeks so i have time before i decide what tank to put him in but any info is great help

I have a couple of these little guys. They love a DSB and to hide under rocks. They will for the most part stay hidden until feeding time (almost any food...flake, frozen) and then they will sort of wiggle out and grab a bite and go back in. They will rearrange your sand to make their home.

I've had one about a yr now..about 7-8 in long.It eats small granulates and tiny krill..it was in a tank w/ cc then moved to a tank w/ a sand bed and it loves it...it is entertaining to watch it rearrange the tank w/ mouthfuls of sand I think thats why they call it an engineer...

Ok he has dug a hole in the DSB underneath a overhang and came out long enough to grab some brine and then bailed back in to his ENGINEERED hole is this all i can expect or will he show himself more when he feels more comfortable about his surroundings? Bill
