Enough Flow?

I had to much flow coming from my single nozzle in the main tank. The return pump is a mag9.5. So i installed a Y split to break the flow. which it did, but the flow coming out of one either one of them alone is less than what i get out of my maxijet900's. Is that enough flow from the return? I have one angles across the back top of the surface to move the surface and the other pointing to the front of the tank. Suggestions?

The Pump is at 4.25 feet. So I guess its pushing out around 750gph. With that split two ways... 375gph out of both nozzles. Would I be better off replacing the Mag9.5 with the 1200? At 4ft that is 1100gph. Anyone?
