About to start adding coral to my tank. I have a dual satellite setup( 1-96watt daylight, 1-96watt actinic). Is this lighting good for a brain coral, candy cane and a plate? or should i stick with button polyps, yellow polyps and mushrooms? Tank has been set up for 7 months. I currently have 70lbs of LR. 2 perc clowns and a yellow tang.

You are barely scraping by with those lights. I would get a single MH 150W pendant to be safe. You should be able to add the brain but the candy cane might struggle a little.

How about the polyps and mushrooms? These are my first corals and unfortunately i have to use this lighting for a while until i can upgrade to MH.

Zoos and shrooms should be fine. You just have a lot of water the light has to travel through to get to the sand bed. If you can place the corals on a rock it would be great.

I actually planned on placing them around the middle of the tank. Hopefully that will be good enough. I made a few nice spots for them.

I'm sure you will be happy with whatever you get. If you ever upgrade to MH, you will be shocked at how much better the softies look.
