I am planning changing my 30 gallon tank into a reef tank. I have limmited knowledge with this and would like some ideas on getting started(Wet/Dry filter, protein skimmer, UV sterilizer, overflow box, lighting, etc.). I'd like to start with a few pieces of hardy coral, inverts, and keep my 2 damsels and Tomato Clown. Any ideas on where to buy the equipment would be helpful. It's only 30 gallons, so I'd like to keep the cost reasonable.
I have had marine tanks for years, but have always used basic filtration, monthly water changes, and copper for the parasites. Needless to say, I have always kept hardy fish.
Any help would be much appreciated.

well im pretty new at this but i dont have any of that "fancy" stuff just regular hang on back filter i do have rodi unit for good water and do 2 10-15% water changes twice a month. i changed stock lights to T5s for my corals i have many corals and all r thriving (except for 1 mystery illness to 1 colony of zoas - but r bouncing back slowly) so u dont just HAVE to have all of the things u mentioned but all would b nice
i plan on upgrading and will have all the bells and whistles on that tank but this tank is doing great with just tank and lights and water changes -
