could someone explain what the listed items do and if they are good to have for a reef tank
uv sterilizer-
fluidized bed filter-
ozenator-
also i know what a ro purrifer does but is it better to own one or just to get the water from a lfs

1. UV - kills micro organisms in the water colum. most agree this is not good in a reef.
2. fluidized bed filter - biological filtration also not needed in a reef tank. Traps detritus and causes nitrates.
3. ozenator- don't know much about this one except that it oxidizes dissoved organics. (I think.)
4. I own my own and was very happy that I did not have to depend on or haul water from the LFS.
