is this stuff safe in a reef tank? Everywhere I look says it is, but im so skeptical about adding it into my main tank, but i have this red slime that im tired of fighting and heard this stuff works.
Anyone have suggestions on fighting cyano outbreaks in a reef tank beside reducing nutrients, because im already working on that.
Thanks.

is the cyano popping up in spots with low water flow? i have a few small spots in my tank, but its in places that I know I need more flow in. I gotta get a 3rd powerhead to throw on it and i expect it to go away.

I've had my fair share of Cyano problems, and algae problems. They were all solved in no time by upgrading to a GOOD skimmer. The Red Slime stopped coming back after only a week and within 3 months all hair algae was GONE and all corals and fish were VERY happy.
Before the skimmer i tried many other things.
reduced my lighting, reduced feeding, more frequent and larger water changes. NOTHING made any difference. You might have a lot of Dissolved Organics in your water that dont really show up with ordinary nitrite,Nitrate tests etc.
good luck

+1 except for me it was an RO/DI unit instead of a skimmer. But I didn't have one of those either. IMO chemicals did nothing to solve the problem. You have to get rid of the nutrients.
