ESV B-Ionic question...

Hello all, I just started adding the ESV B-Ionic 2 part alkalinity and calcium supplement. I have only done it about 3 days now, but I noticed my calcium is on point at 440ppm, but my alkalinity was low at about 6.5 . My question is can I use just my alkalinity (part 1 ) supplement by itself to raise my alk back up to within reasonable levels? thanks.

I use the 2 part solution in equal amounts... I'm not sure about adding just part one. Sounds like it should work... but I would use a alk buffer instead as I've never dosed just one of the two parts before.

That is the beauty of a 2 part. You can use the one you need to get your stats in balance then determine what you have to dose of each, and how often to keep them in balance. Also remember that Magnesium is important in the balance equation also.

true, I really have to get a Magnesium kit, but I've been keeping SPS for a while now with no issues, so I must be doing ok in that department, what I think it is now are my SPS frags are no longer frags, they are growing well, and I think they are sucking calcium and alkalinity out of the water faster...
