As per the revelation given to me by Bang Guy I finally believe that it is time to junk my old skimmer.
Any opinions on the Euro-Reef ES5-2? I have about 70 gallons between my tank and sump.
I found one new for $228.00. Good price? Any other recommendations around that price range?
I'm just gonna go ahead and buy one and sleep on the couch for a week :)

From what I hear they are great skimmers.Kip suggested that I buy one for my 72Bow.Just make sure that if you order it online that you contact them to see if they have one in stock.I ordered mine 6 weeks ago and they finally had to give me a refund because they were so far backordered from Euro-reef.Every web-site I checked said the same thing.I located a guy on e-bay that had a few of them in stock. If you need to E-mail me at friction32@yahoo.com and I will give you his web-site.
Goodluck

kip I'm sure I've asked you this before but I was wondering how high you keep your riser tube, I'm starting to get more skimmate but its not as dark as yours, now I have mine at half way up, also how often do you clean yours because I havn't cleaned mine yet and its been running for 3 months, I guess I'm lucky I can dose kalk and bionic in the return pump area so the skimmer doesn't suck it up, the way I made my cabinet I have to breakdown my sump to get the skimmer out

Can't go wrong with a Euro Reef skimmer. As always I'll suggest a bigger skimmer. Your going to be maxed out at 70 gals, If you'll held off and save your money for a bigger one like the CSES6-2+ model you'd get much better skimming and be able to upgrade to a bigger tank when the time comes.
