Euroreef or Aqua C skimmer

I am upgrading skimmers to get away from my Seaclone. The two options I am looking at are both right around $228.00. Which would you pick??
1. Euroreef ES5-2 (up to 75 gallon which is a littly low but still hear they are better then hang on skimmers)
or
2. Aqua C remora Pro w/ Mag 3 (hang on skimmer but rated for over 75 gallon tanks)
keep in mind my tank is a 125. I know there are better skimmers out there but if I dont need to spend $400 on a skimmer then I prefer not to and use the extra $$ on my fuge or something else.
Thanks

I have a Remora pro with a mag 5 on my 125 and it does great. I would throw in the extra money for the "right" Euroreef or go with the Remora. Euroreefs are good but you got to get the right size.

Yep I'd agree...
Your more than 1/2 way there..a "few" more bucks for the right sized Euro will pay back a hundredfold in the long run...

What size Euro would you recommend? If there are a couple that are similar I prefer the one that tanks up less space in the sump/refugium.

If you have the inclination, build your self a skimmer. You can build an awesome one for your size tank for less than 70 dollars.
I, personally, think skimmers are a rip off for what they cost to make.

Are ASM skimmers just as good as the Euroreefs? I hear they are both from the same company that split. ASM are a lot cheaper so I wasnt sure about their quality compared to Euroreef.

Yes ASM are as good...
But take the Euro reef "ratings" and transfer them to the ASM by "size" (diameter and height) to get an "accurate/effecient" model for your tank...
(they have differing "rating" parameters)

Just to give equal exposure to the AquaC they are also GREAT skimmers. If you are running a sump and have room, upgrade to the EV-120 or EV-180. I used the EV-120 with a mag 5 pump on my 75G and on my 105G and it was great.
What ever you decide, I would go with a skimmer that is rated for more than 75g. As you already discovered with the seaclone, if you buy based on price alone, you will spend again. If $ is an issue (as it is for most of us in this hobby), wait another month to save the extra bucks. You won't regret it.
