OK, so the state of Washington is going to send out HUNDREDS OF THOUSANDS $1 checks to all these welfare recipients that live in their luxurious state. Their logic is if the state’s food stamp recipients receive just $1 for energy bill assistance, that qualifies them for extra federal assistance. That means the welfare guys could receive about $30 more per month in food stamps.

Isn't it great how the state of Washington takes care of their less fortunate?

Here's hoping that, some wonderful day, the San Andreas fault lets go and everyone on the left coast can just surf off into the sunset.

Nice and sweet, thanks. But what you're missing is that the San Andreas goes out to sea in northern CA so WA would still be there.
Back to topic,
from the article; "I think it's an issue of maximizing the federal regulations to the advantage of Washington residents,” said Ribas.
