The main problem with the lions is that they get enamored with the glory positions (quarterback, receiver, running back). If they would just do the smart thing for once, they would either go all defense plus O-lineman or they would trade down to stockpile picks for this year and next.
It's amazing that even a guy like me knows this but the idiots who work for the Lions can't figure this out.

It is the money/instant gratification driving some owners. They don't sell more seats by drafting Jonathan Ogdens...but by drafting Heisman winners!
The owners that want to win and have some patience are the ones that have good teams...DiBartalos when they owned the niners and Robert Kraft of the Patriots to name a couple.
Crimzy..How about you draw up the paperwork and we will all chip in a dollar and buy the Lions!

yea rodrigues thats it.
we went to a game on cincodemayo the best fire works show i have ever seen.sponsered by quervo of coarse.
as for detroit they have the same problem as dallas offensive line sucks
romo picks himself off the field just about every play.
i think the reason the teams trade big jobs like qb and runningback is because if they just change linemen nobody will notice.
most people feel better with big changes stupit i know .
my next door neighbor is from detriot.
he says at least they have hocky and baseball.

i dont know they are already talking on the radio about slow sales
you are probably right alot of people will buy tickets just to say they went there.
i have gone to alot of ranger games.that stadium is too nice for such a crappy team
they lost alot of ticket sales after they let go of the mexican catcher i cant remember his name .he was pretty damn good too
did you see the new cowboys stadium the thing is just awesome.
even the new bridges ove rt 30 are sweet looking.
i dont know why the tickets have to be so expensive
.
they now have the cotten bowl and the finals for collage basketball going there
half the stadium paid by taxpayer and all the profits going to jones.

Because it's the Dallas Cowboys BABY.....
America's Team....

What do the Dallas Cowboys and Billy Graham have in common?
They both can make 70,000 people stand up and yell "Jesus Christ".
How do you keep a Dallas Cowboy out of your yard?

Put up a goal post.

As to the first part you are 100% right. I wish the Fords would sell the team. But unfortunately it will never happen. The games can be empty and the owners still make a boatload of $ on the TV deals. If you have a bad owner, you're screwed.

Maybe I should just move to Oakland.

Yippee, game sold out, Cards will be on tomorrow

Crimzy, will be interesting to see what Lions do...I don't think there is an elite QB for this year, but I think if Mark Sanchez gets another year under his belt, that dude has #1 pick 2010 written all over him.....Maybe 0-16 again next year??? O-Line this year, Sanchez next year.

I totally disagree with drafting quarterbacks early. There are good quarterbacks available every off season. Think about the past several years with Favre, Collins, Brees, etc. This year there will be options such as Derek Anderson, what's-his-name from New England, David Carr. Any of these guys can win games if you put them on a team with a good o-line, good running game and good defense.

Well the Ravens are still alive

And the Pat's are out

Now, I honestly think our odds are good and Miami and Believe that we actually can go to Tenn and beat them at home.
But the Steelers, Colts, and Chargers Scare ME!!
So I'm holding out hope for now.....What's our NAMES? RAVENS!!!!

Better yet make them play in Philly with their playoff hopes on the line the last game of the Season and Romo is Madd at both TO and Willaims . That could be the reason they got spanked 44-6 wasn't it.

If I get that far to face an NFC team then I'll be happy just to make it to the big show.
I think we can take the Giants too...I remember another Superbowl where the Ravens came from the Wildcard position to face the Giants...
AND WE KNOW HOW THAT TURNED OUT!!!

With Tebow not sure he would even agree to sign with them but what could they trade the rights for? All that aside with Tebow you get more than a QB. If they were to grab him and keep building for a season or two and then start him you could really have something. I think I'd grab him in their situation f he was available.

no one cares the cowboys aren't playing.
BCS bowls for me. No matter who wins the OU or Florida the UTES need some serious consideration as the national champion.

No matter who ends up winning seeing da Pats out of the playoff is the happiest part of this season.

BTW what's with AP snubbing Pennington and giving the MVP to P. Manning?!

A...Why do Bills fans hate the Pats so much?
B...I love Pennington, great leader, great guy, had an awesome year, but I can't believe he even got a vote. Peyton is a no-brainer for MVP

A.) Not sure. Honestly I think on a whole we hate Miami more (more rival history). Just da Pats success puts them ahead. And since Miami is my #2 team, I personally have a real dislike for da Pats. The Bills were/are never the 'popular' team. When we had a bit of success, it turned into a joke. Do you think the guy driving the 93 Camaro likes the guy who just bought a 2009 Corvette?
B.) I think I fall back to the actual definition of MVP. The guy most important to his team. Peyton has a bit more talent to work with then Chad IMHO. And the way Peyton only 'started up' mid season. Though if the Cards finished up this season there really wouldn't be any discussion LOL.
