A horrific death almost occured in my tank last night, whilst cleaning the glass the largest peice of LR (ap. 14kg) fell backwards onto the glass, opps no drama.. few moments later on closer expection i spotted a lifeless black and yellow tail coming out from underneath the rock..... luckily i was able to free the tang which went straight for the new peice of nori. the rocks are now TOTALLY secure and The tang is fine (well at least he was today) and seemed to be more upset that his favourite rock has been moved than almost being crushed to death.. anything like this ever happened to you guys ??

I think fish are to fast for a falling rock. I would be more worried about the glass.

Had a rock fall on our sand sifter star and one fall on an open brain. Both are fine and alive today (whew!), but I'm sure it didn't feel good either. I felt so bad. Also accidentally trapped one of the 'legs/tentacles' of a brittle star under a rock. He unfortunately ripped himself loose before I knew what had happened. He, too, is doing fine now and his new leg is growing in. That incident made me feel even worse. How would you like to rip your own leg off? *shiver* :(

One time I was cleaning my 75G, and since it was without any corals I had decided to move around the LR to get it all clean, and to give it a new look. Well, after it was all said and done, I went up to bed. The next morning I woke up and went down to turn on the lights and check out the tank. Turns out there had been a rock-slide after I left, and the Yellow Tang had gotten stuck between some rocks. Well, I freed the fellow, who floated around on his side, and I was positive he was dead. I had to go to school, and felt sick about him all day. Well, I came home, and he was perfectly fine. He's been with me ever since.
