Ever heard of a Peppermint Shrimp eating

a plate coral? Not sure if mine is or if he's cleaning it???? He seems to be all over it but just can't tell if he's actually removing flesh or not.
Any experience with this?

they could only be cleaning it but i would check the coral for any missing or damaged areas

Yes it is fungia species, I thought the shrimp may be starving too so I I have been feeding them daily but one of them keeps crawiling on the plate...runs when he sees me coming.

I have noticed that shrimp can harass, though unintentionally, a coral to the point that the coral starts to go downhill. If you notice that the coral is suffering ill-effects, I'd suggest moving the coral to an area where the shrimp does not hang out.
