Eh, Wish me luck everyone.
My roof is leaking on everything. My shop is flooding, my yard is flooded and it is starting to get much worse.
I hope everything is going to be ok. That hurricane/tropical storm is messing everything up!

Thanks everyone.
I took care of the leaky roofs - buckets.
The flooding of my shop can be delt with with a shop vac right now. So that's ok.
My yard is beginning to be drained. I just couldn't sleep very well last night at all knowing everything was going on.
Thanks for the support guys.

Move North
move north LOL Yeah that'll help have you looked at the radar lately just north of there the storm is just sitting there dumping 9-12 inches of rain state wide here. They had to recall the utility workers they sent down south because we actually have more power outages than where the storm hit and its still going today. we have as of this morning 100,000 without power. If the rain totals they are calling for out of this storm before it moves out there will be as much flooding as there was back in March and April here. We are getting hit with wind gust of 50+ miles an hour still today. schools are closed all over the state. here are some photos of some of the damage that has been done here.

O yeah here is the kicker of everything alot of LA residents came up to Arkansas to escape the storm and this is what they escaped to. the irony of things.

Because that will prevent roof leaks?
I lived in Tampa in 1992 when the hurricanes tore up that state and coming from New York I can definitely say that you are taking your chances living in the gulf states. I now live in Kansas and yes there are occasional tornandos that wipe out trailer parks but the damage is minor compared to that of New Orleans and the surrounding area. It just gets me that people seem surprised that the levies finally failed and the city was flooded. It was bound to happen it was just a question of when.

You've made me bust out the map...

So, where is it safe?

I think some folks may not have moved far enough north

I love that map
North Carolina looks safe. If not, maybe I should take my chances with the Mormons

In all seriousness though, that is some scary stuff. Those pics are crazy! I hope everyone stays safe.
