Again you are misinformed...
The maket was lower after 9-11 and came back; Many of us would say the rebound was a direct result of President Bush's policies in dealing with terror and protecting the homeland that made this rebound possible...
I'd be happy to have the President out of office too if I believed and promoted all of the misinformation, lies and conspiracies you all seem to.
I just have a unique viewpoint because of where I was when the war started and I am really aware of the consequences of continuing it. I really find it hard to believe ANYONE thinks that Bush has done a good job. I would just like to see our poor country start to climb out of this debt, the war completely end (which means we don't set up a base there permanently), and finally see someone who cares about the people in THIS country.

They are an interesting +/- 25%. They also seem to be disproportionally represented around here.

I don't care if your viewpoint disagrees with me. I do care, however, when you post something like "the stock market is at its lowest point since the Great Depression".
That is not a "unique" viewpoint, its a delusional one.
You're aware of the consequences of continuing the war because of where you were when the war began? Great. I'm here now. I'm aware of the consequences of what will happen if we cut and run.
We're fighting the most fanatical enemy we've ever faced and haven't had a successful attack on our homeland in 7 years. Sorry, to me that is wildly successful.
Is the "war" still going on in Japan and Germany? Why is it a bad idea to negotiate a base in Iraq? You liberals complain about the cost of the war. Wouldn't it be cheaper to have the manpower and equipment here in this region?

I never said cut and run. We did what we set out to do. Saddam is out of power. The Taliban is no longer there. Yet we are still in that country. What about Afghanistan?? There are more issues there. I don't think we should have bases in Japan or Germany either. Why are we still there????? It's ridiculous and a waste of resources IMO. It's not about to ever change though. My point on that is do you see any bases from other countries here in the US?? NO. We can agree to disagree. I think initially the war was very important. It is done now. It doesn't mean we don't monitor the country to prevent more attacks. To me it means being done with trying to tell them the best way to run their country.
As far as my comment about the stock market being lowest, if my figures were off then I stand corrected. But just about every newspaper and every news channel that day said that it was the lowest since then. I never said it was as low though. I don't understand why I am being delusional when I say that.

Yeah, el presidente doesn't inspire confidence in the markets at all any more. He has pretty much checked out and puts in face time here and there....the media is all over the election.
