i had to remove everything from my tank to catch mine.... it sucked, but after they were out it was nice knowing they were gone.

There is a reason Damsels are as cheap as they are.
Wait atleast 3 hours after the lights are out. Sneak up to your tank with very little light. And scoop them right out while they are sleeping. My damsel had a favorite spot below a rock. You'll notice that there color kinda gets washed out when they are sleeping, so you will know they are out.
