Evil Emerald Crab

I finally got my first 2 fish friday 2 small goldstripe maroon clowns. I also got 2 emerald crabs one of them seems cool but the other one is evil. The bigger clown found her fav spot in the tank and the stupid crab is always looking like he's trying to grab my clown. Should I be concerned or is the fish smart enough to stay a good distance from the crab?

Monitor him. He might just be hungry, try spot feeding him and see if that helps his attitude, if not, your only flushing away $7

Emerad crabs do not eat fish, they only eat green algae. It sounds like a fight for turf. They will make their peace and settle on territory. Just let them work it out themselves.

They eat meaty foods also flower. My GEC always grabs chunks of my home made fish food and munches on it. It also puts out its hands when bothered by my clowns but rarly nips at them or even gets close enough to do damage. I've also seen my emerald crab grab a small nassarius snail and walk around with it in its claws lol. But it has never killed anything because I keep it well fed and happy.

I know this is a stupid question but I got a newlý cycled tank and I'm not sure if I got a lot of green algea or any at all. Can't I buy some from somewhere and maybe use tongs to put little pieces in there? Also does it matter what kind of tongs (metal,plactis,etc.)???
