Excitement!

I just picked up my purple firefish two days ago after the lfs quarantined him for 3 weeks for me, he looks great and is eating very well. My question: I have a 50 gallon with a pair of true percs, royal gramma, and now the firefish. I would like to know what would be a couple more good additions for fish.
I would like a 6 line wrasse. Would this work? any others?
thanks for the help

Go with the sixline for sure. Mine is one of my favorite additions. He eats like a pig though. His belly is always fat after feeding and I am not overfeeding!

I like the 6-line and other flasher wrasses. I had a slight problem with my 6-line though.. he ate all my blue legs, 2 peppermint shrimp and a cleaner shrimp. If you get one keep it fed. I only feed my fish about 1 or 2 times a week so I'm sure thats why he went after those critters.
You could also look into a dwarf angle, otherwise any of the fish nolofinwe are cool little fish.

My longnose hawk has not touched an invert yet. I have had him for 3 1/2 months now. lthough I tried a flame hawk before him and he dusted a cleaner shrimp in about a week.

I'd second the sixline. I have one in my tank, also with two false percs and a firefish, and he is very energetic always in and out of the rockwork. Very peaceful and hardy as well. Keep an eye on that royal gramma though when you add the firefish to the display. They can be rough and firefish are pretty passive.

Stay away from hawkfish!I've regreted putting one in my tank now for 6 months. He's killed all my shrimp and crabs, except for the hermits(don't quit know why).He does it just to spite me,I think. He will kill something and just leave it.Kinda reminds me of a dog.I'm still inventing ways of trying to catching him.

I definatly want the 6 line.
and also a fish for the bottom(some blenny how about a scooter blenny?)
Iechy: I watched the gramma, the first day he was agressive to the firefish, but now he leaves him alone and all seems to be well

Watch out with a scooter blenny. They are hard to feed like a Mandarin. You should pick one out at the LFS that will eat brine or flake so he doesn't rely on pods for food.

I also love my 6 line! He is fun to watch and is a peaceful tankmate that swims around the liverock all day not bothering anything at all...except maybe some pods! :D
I also have a flame hawk in the reef that is as docile as the day is long. He's never bothered a thing and I have plenty of shrimp and so forth that he could eat if he wanted to.
I think it is an individual thing. Some members of the same family do well in a reef and others have "issues" and don't!
