Does anyone know a good online site for CHEAP lights.
I would like to increase the lighting in my tank.
Metal Halide or such,
Fixture ( 20in.x 6in.) would be ideal.
300-400 watts.
My current lighting is only 80 watts i think.
( 2 coralife 50/50's - 40watts each.)
Any suggestion or ideas or sites?

well, cheaper is always the way that my wallet tends to favor...
I have seen MH fixtures that are much cheaper for hydroponic applications on the net.. It seems that as soon as the word "aquarium" is added to a MH fixture, the price tends to get a little "salty" (pun intended.. lol)
as for me, I am going to go all DIY for my MH project when I get around to doing it for my 75.. if you but all of the components seperately IMHO, you seem to save a lot of cash when you build them into your own canopy... although some of those $1000 48" fixtures are pretty darn nifty looking.. lol

I put two 175 mh and 4 110 vho on my 110 for 450.00 including the bulbs. Let me know if you want the link. But I built my own canopy so that i could save.

Yes, please on the link. We're building a canopy too. I have 660 VHO on the way, but would like one MH as well.

There are numerous sites that offer quality lighting products...a search for info will point you to many of them.
But...this sites policy does not allow the sort of activity above....please refrain from attempts to circumvent rules and policy that has been established here.
