Not sure if this is the place to post, but I AM fairly new to SW. So, I recently added a CC star to my 90gal FOWLR tank that is 2 1/2 months old. It was a rescue of sorts, though the star is healthy. Anyway, this morning when I looked into my tank I saw what appeared to be little, itty, bitty star fish on the glass and rock. Only 4 of them, three of which are missing a leg or two or three, and one that is whole. They are baby starfish. From the CC star??? Certainly did not materialize out of nowhere! I have removed them from the 90 gallon so they don't become food for the others. I have a 20 gallon that was set up 45 days ago for reef only and the only life in there is a clean up crew. Large turbo snails a little red knobby star and a xenia. Is it safer to put them in there? They are soooo cute! But how do I keep them alive? Parameters in both tanks are the same although the 20 gallon's SG is .26 where as the 90's is .25. Any advice? Thank you.

I have a 29 gallon tank and I have a little starfish that hitched with the lr and lots of Serpent Stars they hide till the tank is dark. No one seems to
mess with them and the clean up the tank. My one star is so small I only see it when its on the side of the tank.

Asterina star, very common hitchiker, harmless algae eater, he will feed on the algae in your tank, no need to relocate them.

Interesting, I looked up Asterina Star and sure enough, that is what the little buggers are! They say that they reproduce by dropping their arms, which in turn form new Asterina stars! Wow, learn something new every day!
Thank you for the help.
