Explain how distilled water is filtered before bottled in?

Got me by  how Distilled water filter process before bottled in?
Similar as RO/DI process?
Feel free to add how Drinking or Spring water would have process before bottled in if that is different filtration process as Distilled water?

distilled water is steamed then recollected in a seperate area. The heavy metals and impurities are not steamed out of the water.

:notsure:
How is it that heavy metals cannot evaporate out of your tank, but they do evaporate (as steam) when it's distilled.
Please explain.

I think you misunderstood. They create steam which is collected and condensed in another container. The water evaporates leaving behind the heavy metals and the steam is then transformed into clean water in another container. Sort of like the stills you see in TV or movies. The impurity stay behind as they do in your tank when the water evaporates.

You have to be careful with distilled water as there may still be minerals in it. It depends on the type of condenser they have. If its glass or plastic there should be no problem. Sometimes metal coils are used (like on the back of a dehumidifier or refridgerator) as this is inexpensive and more energy efficient. Some metals from this sort of condenser can still be in the distillate (finished product).
