looking to move my mag 9 and mag 12 out of my sump since the water temp in the sump is hitting 84 , any special requirments the mag 12 does not come with anything other than a rubber pad to place under it, how should i do this put in a bulkhead and then a hose barb and then the same off the pump and connect with a piece of 4-6" long piece of tubing?

I think if you take them out, the life of the pumps will dramatically decrease. I know they say internal/external, but they use the water to cool them.
Cooling motors and pumps is a good idea. 84 is a little warm, what is the tank temp?

well sump is hitting 84-85 and when it is that high the tank goes to 82-82.5 now it never used to do this untill i upgraded my mag 7 to a mag 12 and put in a etss skimmer with a mag 9 in the sump, so u think mounting them external is not going to help me then ??

YES this will help the temp. I have ran mag9 pumps internal and external in the past and IMO the mag tends to do better when in line. im not sure if it would burn out more quickly because of heat when not submerged but the impellor on a mag is the only moving part and my mag doesnt ever feel hot. also it is easier to do maintenence when in line because you dont have to disengage pvc while its under water. just my $.02
