eye popping out

my new saddle back clown rt eye looks to be popping out of its socket. dont know what to do

happened to my coral beauty. dose food with kent garlic extreme. 2 drops per feeding let soak in real well. cured mine in 3 days. good luck. btw it's called popeye. not a disease just condition

she wont eat, it really looks bad. looks like it will pop out. can this happen. can she die from this

garlic is also a food attractant as well. may help her eat. if the condition is severe it can cause blindness, and possible death. read beth's thread on Pop-eye at the begining of this forum

Is one eye or both popped out? When only one eye is like that, it means the problem isn't bacterial (the eye was most likely injured somehow). When both eyes have it, it's popeye and you'll have to use antibiotics.

its only the one eye. if it is injured will the swelling go away

Start with the water change, at least 30%. Also is the eye cloudy at all?
The article explains almost all you should do baring any pathogen that may be present, the water change is the simplest solution to popeye.
As long as you don't have any crushed coral and your nitrates aren't sky high you should see some improvment in a few days to a week.

im confused. is popeye always in both eyes or can it be in one eye. my nitrates did take a jump just did a 10gal change in my 50gal tank. the right eye is the only on affected right now

It can be in one eye or both, its not just nitrates but total DOC's that could be the problem, unless its due to fighting or because he slamed into something.

maybe it was just a fluke that when i started adding it, it went away in 3 days. i understand that it can enhance an animals immune system to fight infections. pop-eye is an infection so i tried it and it went away. just my experience:joy:
